Morgan played a female character in AIDS prevention and education videos. Safe Sex for Men and Women. Part of the money was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a Member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the leader of numerous fund-raising efforts for the illness and has been a witness before an Congressional Special Committee about AIDS Education. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and on the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett's former deputy surgeon general requested her from time to time to sub for him during AIDS awareness activities. Additionally, she was the host of a AIDS Awareness Special presented by Steve Bell. Morgan has been on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan is nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. The spring season saw Morgan co-starring alongside Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC television. She then started the summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It was also co-starring Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Her next project sent her to Luxembourg to star in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that also featured Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also appeared in the psycho thriller made by USA Network. The film garnered one of its most impressive ratings to date.
